Giving
to give glory to God
Why give a regular financial gift?
Our aim is to be good stewards of all the resources God has given us, for the greater glory of God. Our priorities are to resource mission and outreach within Great Dunmow and to provide spaces for worship that are fit for purpose. We believe that God calls each of us to be generous with our resources, in response to his generosity towards us. One way of expressing this is through giving a regular financial gift that becomes part of our worship.
The Bible tells us that Christian giving should, where possible, be regular (1 Corinthians 16:2) and private; between us and God (Matthew 6:1-5). It should not be motivated by a desire to impress others, but arising from private careful thought and prayer.

What about Gift Aid?
If you are a UK taxpayer we strongly encourage you to complete a gift aid declaration. This will enable us to recover the tax you have already paid on your gift – amounting to 25p for every pound you give. This currently enables us to reduce the shortfall between regular giving and necessary expenditure and is a valuable proportion of each of our church’s income.
