The Friends of St. Mary's

The Friends of St Mary’s are a group of enthusiastic people who work together to arrange and promote both social and fundraising events.  These events are for the local community to enjoy and any funds raised support the Rev Tom, his team and the Parochial Church Council (PCC) to maintain and improve the church for everyone.

The Friends hold an AGM each spring and since our last meeting we have arranged and/or supported a community tea in the vicarage garden, an auction of promises and the very popular quiz night.  Monies raised from events like these go towards small projects to maintain and improve the fabric of the church and to enable non-fund-raising social events to take place.  You will also find the Friends supporting events like the Live Nativity and the Nine lessons and Carols.
