CORONAVIRUS: PRACTICAL & SPIRITUAL CARE

At St Mary’s and St Andrew’s we are committed to Jesus’ command to love and care for our neighbours by offering pastoral and practical support.

Pastoral Care

In these uncertain times, if you, or somebody you know, is anxious, worried or upset and would like to speak to a Priest or one of our Pastoral Team, please contact Revd Lea Williams, Revd Canon Rosemary Drew or our Pastoral Assistant Pam Warren.

Practical Support

We are aware that vulnerable people and those who are self-isolating might struggle with some day to day tasks. If you or anyone you know in our locality needs help with shopping, a friendly phone call or other errands, a group of church members led by John Wright has - independently of St Mary's - set up and is organising a team of volunteers, who would be pleased to hear from you. Please do not contact the church office about this service - the service is being run by John and his team and you can find the contact details below.

The team has been working on systems to make sure that it can help people in a safe way without being a source of contagion and risk. If you feel able to assist with delivering shopping, running errands or providing a friendly phone call, John would be pleased to hear from you.
