PRAYER FOR TODAY
Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified: mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

PLEASE PRAY FOR:
  • The family and friends of Graham Davies, Michael Wallace, Tish Ramsay, John Woodroffe, Margery Kettle and Marie Haresnape who have recently died;
  • for those on the prayer list who have asked for prayer (lists available at the back of church);
  • for those who are preparing for marriage and baptism.

COLCHESTER AREA VOCATIONS DAY - Saturday 5th March, Christchurch, Colchester. The Annual Colchester Area Vocations Day is for people at every stage of exploring all sorts of ministry, lay and ordained. It offers input and information, workshops, time-out to think and pray about your own direction in life, and an opportunity to meet and talk with other people on similar journeys. Principally, it is a day to hear or to listen to God. The key speakers are Bishop Roger and Nick Hutchings, Headteacher of St John's school Colchester on "Vocation and education".
The day is free and lasts from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (coffee is available from 09:30) and is packed with helpful information and valuable insights, all set in the context of worship.
For more information pick up a flyer or visit the Area page of the Diocesan website, or contact Rev. Geoff Read at gread@chelmsford.anglican.org
