Nursery
Saint Mary's Church Nursery opened in September 1997 and at the time Alison Brown and I thought that we would open for six months and "see how it goes"!
We have had a few changes of staff during the past year but we continue to work as a team. Staff have continued to update their knowledge by attending courses on first aid, child protection and language matters during the year. One member is currently studying for the Diploma in Pre School Practice.
In connection with our topics we have been to the Church, two different types of farms, the library and the market. We have also visited and the churchyard and recently had an Easter egg hunt in the churchyard.
Last summer Nursery staff, children and parents went to Walton beach. This is a good opportunity for staff, parents and children to get together. Thanks, once again, to Nicola for the use of her beach hut.
