Welcome to our services today. If you are visiting us for the first time, do let us know. If you have children with you please don't feel embarrassed if they make a noise or if you need to go out at any time. At St Mary's there is a children's corner with toys and books, so please do make use of this if you would like to. There is a toilet in the church hall at St Mary's and at the back of church at St Andrew's.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified: mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Let Me Go There – the Spirit of Lent by Paula Gooder offers a daily companion for the six weeks of Lent and The Archbishops of Canterbury Lent Book 2017, Dethroning Mammon: making money serve grace, looks at the subject of money and materialism, challenging us to use Lent as a time of learning to trust in the abundance and grace of God. We have also added two books by our very own Bishop Stephen Cottrell - The Things He Did, which focuses specifically on the events in Holy Week leading up to Good Friday and The Things He Carried, a journey to the cross, which features meditations on Lent and Holy Week.
