NEW BOOKS FOR LENT IN THE LENDING LIBRARY. Why not check out some new books with a Lent theme now available from our “Words For Life” Lending Library in church? Let Me Go There – the Spirit of Lent by Paula Gooder offers a daily companion for the six weeks of Lent and The Archbishops of Canterbury Lent Book 2017, Dethroning Mammon: making money serve grace, looks at the subject of money and materialism, challenging us to use Lent as a time of learning to trust in the abundance and grace of God. We have also added two books by our very own Bishop Stephen Cottrell - The Things He Did, which focuses specifically on the events in Holy Week leading up to Good Friday and The Things He Carried, a journey to the cross, which features meditations on Lent and Holy Week.
