If you have children with you please don't feel embarrassed if they make a noise or if you need to go out at any time. At St Mary's there is a children's corner with toys and books, so please do make use of this if you would like to. There is a toilet in the church hall at St Mary's and at the back of church at St Andrew's.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Almighty and everlasting God, who hast given unto us thy servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity and, in the power of the divine majesty, to worship the Unity; we beseech thee that thou wouldest keep us steadfast in this faith and evermore defend us from all adversities; who livest and reignest, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

  • CONNECT120 EVENTS
    OUR COMMUNITY AND JESUS: Saturday, 2 June, 10.30am-12.30pm in St. Mary’s Room. If you have a heart for taking Jesus into your community and want to know how to do that in a creative way then come along to this session.
    REFRESH SKILLS. If you volunteer with young people and family groups then come along to find out more. For full details of both these events please see the notice boards at the back of church. THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO 2 SEPTEMBER.

    BCP EVENSONG ON THE EVE OF ST BARNABAS. The joint choirs of the Deanery will be singing Evensong at All Saints, High Roding on Sunday, 10 June at 6pm. All are welcome to come along to this service. For more information please contact Cilla Hawkes 01371 856480.

    THE NEXT DEANERY WALK is on Saturday, 16 June in the Six Parishes. Please meet at St. Mary’s Aythorpe Roding at 9am for a circular walk; coffee and prayers at 10.15am. If you are not able to take part in the walk, please join us for coffee and prayers. Well behaved dogs welcome.

    MUSIC ON A SUMMER’S EVENING: CHARITY CONCERT IN AID OF ST CLARE HOSPICE & ST MARY’S CHURCH. Dunmow Wind Band are playing a concert at 7 pm on Saturday, 16 June in St. Mary’s Church. Tickets are £8 and are available from the Parish Office (01371 875753) or the churchwardens, Nigel and Catherine.

    THE NEXT COFFEE, CAKE & CHATTER is on Tuesday, 19 June in St. Mary’s Church. Come along and chat with friends, old and new; partake of scrumptious cake and browse the bring-and-buy stalls. All money raised helps with the work of Faith in Action in Malawi and St. Mary’s Church.

    WOMEN’S BRUNCH. Following a very successful and enjoyable brunch in April, the next brunch has been arranged for Saturday, 23 June from 10am to 12 noon in St. Mary’s Centre. Come and enjoy and wonderful feast and great company, and meet friends old and new. Suggested donation £3.     THE FRIENDS OF ST. MARY’S INVITE YOU TO JOIN THEM ON THEIR ANNUAL QUIZ WALK ON SATURDAY, 7 JULY. Transport is available from Dunmow to Maldon, leaving Dunmow at 9am and returning from Maldon at 3pm. All are welcome and if you would like to come along, please sign the sheet at the back of church or speak to Ray Cheal for more information. If you would like to collect sponsorship to raise money for St. Mary’s Funds, please speak to Ray.

Those who do not respond will be removed from the weekly notices.

    CONNECT120 NEWS. This week, Connect 120 means:Half term, so no school activities this week, planning for next Half Term and a Discussion event on serving our community at St Mary's in Dunmow on Saturday.
