Welcome to our services today. If you are visiting us for the first time, do let us know. If you have children with you please don't feel embarrassed if they make a noise or if you need to go out at any time. At St Mary's there is a children's corner with toys and books, so please do make use of this if you would like to. Almighty and everlasting God, increase in us thy gift of faith that, forsaking that which is behind and reaching out to that which is before, we may run the way of thy commandments and win the crown of everlasting joy; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

  • OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD PACK A SHOEBOX GIFT. It is that time of year to start preparing shoeboxes to send to needy children around the world. Each child receives a shoebox as an unconditional gift of love, based on need, regardless of their background or religion. There are leaflets at the back of church with full details of items that can be included. Please do not worry about the £5 suggested donation for postage if this is too much. Shoeboxes need to be brought to church ready for mailing by Sunday, 29 October. If you are unable to fill a shoebox but would like to donate items so that boxes can be made up, there is a box at the back of church for suitable items – see list in leaflet. Please leave items in box by Sunday, 22 October. If you would like to make a donation towards postage, please hand to Maureen Best or to Caroline in the office.

SAVE THE DATE! GREAT DUNMOW LIVE NATIVITY, 10 December 2017 at 3 p.m. beginning in the town square. Watch out for leaflets and posters…….

ST. MARY’S CHARITABLE GIVING. Each year the PCC chooses around 15 charities for our annual church giving. We intend to give £6,000 this year and would like the congregation to make nominations. Nominations need to be received by Sunday, 15 October. We would expect the majority of the charities we choose to share the ethos of our church and for the final list to have an international, national and local mix. Full details are on the nominations forms around church.
