PRAYER FOR TODAY
God our redeemer, who has delivered us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of thy Son: grant, that as by his death he hath recalled us to life, so by his continual presence in us he may raise us to eternal joy; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

    PRAYER GROUP. As from 3 June, there will be a prayer group at 2 pm every Monday in St Mary’s Centre. All are very welcome. For more information please contact Vera Davies.

    SUMMER SWING WITH A LIVE BAND @ GREAT EASTON CHURCH, Sunday 23rd June 2:00 to 4:30 pm. Includes strawberries and cream with Prosecco.     COFFEE, CAKE & CHATTER is now 6 years old. Since the first Coffee Morning in May 2013 a staggering £18,509.25 has been raised, £10,605 has been donated to Faith in Action for its work in Malawi, £7,800 has been donated to St Mary’s PCC. A huge THANK YOU from the CCC team to everyone who has contributed in any way to achieve this amazing total! Big oaks do indeed grow from little acorns.

    RUTH'S LAST SERVICE & COLLATION. There are some photos of Ruth's service and collation here. Apologies for the quality of the photos of her last service - a poor selection of photo settings! If anyone has any photos from either service, please send them to Patrick to add to this selection. Thanks to Michael R and Twitter for the ones from Ruth's collation!

    HELP! Fabric Committee is a sub-committee of the PCC and reports back on all things pertaining to the church fabric: floor tiles, drains, roofs, downpipes, and boilers. We urgently need more people to help with this, so if you have an interest in fabric, please talk to Michael or Catherine. You don’t have to be on the PCC.

    APCM AT ST MARY'S. On 28th April, Michael Ryley and Catherine Salmon were elected as Churchwardens for St Mary's and Mike Best, Ann Deakins, Bruce Drew, Bryan Haines, Colin Parker, Elaine Peck, Jenny Salisbury, Edward Salmon and Helen Wright were elected to the PCC, with Rev Lea Williams and our two Deanery Synod reps, Maureen Best and Jenny Dalton White. Nigel Dodd and Linda Todd were co-opted. Please pray for them as they seek to lead the church into the vacancy.
