General News for both parishes (unless stated)
TODAY AT 6.00PM AT ST MARY'S: INFORMAL EVENING WORSHIP WITH THE THEME OF 'BLESSING' - what does it mean to bless others and be blessed ourselves? This is the next in our series of special services for the first Sunday evening of the month.
THANKS to all who helped with 'A Party with a Difference' last Sunday afternoon. It was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all the families who came. The puppets, food, games and weather were all excellent!
MANY THANKS to everyone for their support. £60 was raised last week for Fairtrade. See you all in September.
CAKE-MAKING. The marathon has started! The Countess of Warwick Show (August 24th & 25th) is now only 7 weeks away. St Mary's is, again, providing the Cake Stall combined with refreshments. As we discovered last year, mountains of cakes can be moved! However, a mountain of cakes takes a lot of baking! An early start will help. Bake now … freeze for later …. and be ready for the summer rush. Further advice and information is available from Vera Davies.
DAY OUT TO WALTON. To cover the cost of the buses for this trip on July 19th there will be a charge of £7 per person. If you'd like to join the folk who've already booked to go, please see David Rose or Pam Cheal.
HELP AT HOME. If you struggle changing curtains, light bulbs, clock batteries, smoke detector batteries, and such like, help may be available. Ring Gwynn Davies (872053)to find out.
COPY DATE FOR THE AUGUST EDITION OF OUTLOOK is on Thursday, 10th July. All information should be with Sally Rippon by that date.
