These meet every fortnight in people's homes for Bible study, informal discussion and a cup of coffee. There are eight groups at present. Most meet in the evenings.

Youth Group |

The Youth Group caters for young people in the 11+ age group. Apart from interesting discussions on Bible matters, they also arrange social events such as ice skating and residential weekends.

Church Choir |

The church choir is a robed choir and is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music. It leads congregational singing at ASB Holy Communion at 10.30am on alternate Sundays and at occasional choral evensong with a repertoire of four part traditional and contemporary music and hymns. Choir practice is from 7pm on Thursdays and at 9.45am on alternate Sundays. Young choristers are encouraged to work for RSCM chorister awards. New members are welcome.

Banner Group |

This group designs and makes banners to inspire the church. There are banners depicting most of the church's seasons. We are a group made up of many ages and pool together our God-given gifts and talents to give glory to God and inspire the many people who enter our church. We welcome anyone who is interested and enthusiastic.
Bell ringers |

They ring on Sunday mornings, and, on request, for weddings. The tower has a peal of eight bells.

This is a pre-school Nursery for up to 30 children (2-and-a-half to 5 years) open three mornings a week. It operates under the auspices of the church. Click here to read the latest (June 2004) Ofsted report.

The Friends of St Mary's is an association concerned with maintaining and improving the fabric and furnishings of the Parish church, and promoting events and activities in support of the PCC

Emmaus Course |

Based in the idea that we are a pilgrim people, Emmaus, the way of faith, is a means of welcoming people into Christian faith and the life of the church. Three groups (over 30 adults) enrolled on our first Emmaus nurture course which ran fortnightly until May 2000. Based on the success of this course, it is likely that further courses will be run.

Prayer Group |

The Prayer Group meets every Monday from 2 pm to 2.45 pm in St Mary's Centre (please check the Diary for updates) when all are welcome to come and join in meditation and intercession. The Group prays for the needs of the world, the church, the parish and for individuals. Requests for prayer may be given to David, Rosemary or Sally, or placed in the box marked "Prayer Requests" on the table near the South Door in church.

We meet on the first Monday of the month between 8-9pm in the church. During the evening there is silence, prayer, music and meditation - a space for quiet and stillness in our busy lives. No experience necessary, everybody welcome.

Pram Service & Toddler Group |

Weekly meetings on Wednesday mornings at 10:00am in St. Mary's Room, Church Street. (Click here to see where St. Mary's Room is located).
Short service with children's story and songs, followed by play with toys for children. Coffee and chat for parents. 15-20 members. 50p per family per attendance.
