Pram Service
The Pram Service continues to run every Wednesday morning during the school term in St Mary’s Room. The numbers attending vary greatly but we can usually expect between ten to fifteen mums, dads and carers and about twenty children – so it’s quite a lively gathering! The short twenty minute service consists of action songs, some simple prayers and a bible story for the children told by one of the mums. Tea and coffee follow the service with chat for the adults and play for the children. Special events this year have included the ‘Teddy Bears’ Picnic’ in the vicarage garden on a very hot day in July, a visit from Santa Claus and a pancake party. It has been good to note that some of the pram service families are attending our all age services. Some of the mums and children also took part in the recent Mothering Sunday Service.
