Home Groups
Monday Evening
Our Home Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 8pm. We have nine members, six of whom currently attend regularly and the others when they are able. Over the past year we have studied and discussed the following topics: Exodus & the Jewish Passover; the making of the New Testament; Christian writings from a variety of times and places; and a Lent study guide 'Called to be Saints'. We continue to support one another in prayer and friendship through good and bad times.

Tuesday Evening
We meet fortnightly, sharing the responsilibilty of leadership after mutual agreement of the topics for the 'term'.
Most recently we have worked together through the Alpha Course DVD being refreshed in our faith through its modern approach. We are now are looking at St John's Gospel.
Unfortunately, we 'lost' Pam and Ray Cheal as members in 2006 when they decided to take up a role within the leadership of the St Marys Youth Group, (which also meets on Tuesdays).
However, recently we have welcomed Maureen and Mike Best which restores our membership number to 10.
Wednesday Evening
We meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month in different homes. We have nine members, all of whom attend regularly. We begin by "catching up" over refreshments, then the topic for the evening, with plenty of discussion. We end the evening with prayer and meditation.
The topics are chosen by the Group. In the recent past, we have done the Acorn Healing Course, modified to the interests and needs of the Group. As a result, two members have emerged with healing gifts. They are to be commissioned on Easter Sunday to exercise this ministry within our church. Others in the Group do not feel a vocation yet. Since January, going on until July, the topics are varied and include
"Love is ..." "Forgiveness" "Sharing Faith" and "Saying No"
We are very Anglican in our approach i.e. scripture, tradition and reason, which definitely includes experience!!
We would welcome up to three new members.
Friday Evening
A loyal and committed group of up to twelve people meet in various homes, usually for Bible study and discussion, led by different members of the group. We begin promptly with our study, followed by questions and discussion. The evening continues with the service of Night Prayer (Compline), and concludes with refreshments and lively conversation.
We are indebted to Gerald Crowley who designs our three programmes throughout the year, which in 2006/7 have included the Lord's Prayer, the Book of Isaiah, and the letter to the Hebrews. There is a tradition of an evening of Christmas Carols and Readings, with a shared supper, Meditations on the Passion and Easter, and the year concludes in July with a service of Holy Communion followed by a shared supper.
