The St Mary’s youth group recommenced in October 2005 after adult helpers were in place.

We meet on Tuesday evenings in St Mary’s Centre from 7:00 to 8:30pm.

Numbers have ranged from 12 to 16 consistently and we have taken in 3 members from Stebbing Crusaders. Ages range from 11 to 15.

Evenings consist of group prayers, talks led by leaders and/or youth members, and games. The emphasis is on discussion, learning and fun.

Members have attended:

• The Dunmow Pantomime as a group in which 2 members were taking part;
• Several members were involved in the combined FDS Trust services held at Stebbing and Felsted;
• 3 members were confirmed in January;
• 8 members are attending a Youth Alpha course at Stebbing on a Friday evening;
• 3 members are taking part in the Unlock London Walk, as are the leaders

Future events include:

• A combined FDS Trust service at St Mary’s on Sunday, 9th July;
• Residential weekend at St Mark’s College with the FDS trust in late July

Emma Jarratt, our FDS Trust youth worker will from 2nd May attend and lead each first Tuesday in the month St Mary’s youth session.

A big thanks must be extended to Edward Salmon, Pam Cheal and Helle Kamstrup for their devotion to this group.
